MakeSense is a community based platform for Social Entrepreneurs the world over to challenge the rest of us.
Concretely, MakeSense connects Social Entrepreneurs with individuals ready to take up their challenges both online, through a web application accessible at www.makesense.org, and offline through specifically designed workshops called Hold-ups. The website allows people to browse for social entrepreneurs, connect with them, know more about their venture and their challenges, and eventually solve them. The hold-ups are creativity workshops organized in small groups of people to help solving a specific social challenge.
We will be anywhere there is an social problem in our society! We are a global community of happy activists with an impact on a local scale. MakeSense is not a startup, it's a movement! It is defined as an open project, meaning it's not owned by anyone, but open to everyone. Our motto is "stop downloading, start uploading"! We believe the most we contribute, collaborate, and share with the most people, the better off we are as a whole. Our values are described in the MakeSense Manifesto.
Our objectives are twofold: boost the impact of social entrepreneurs while helping them to sustain it, and promote the concept of social business.
And last but not least, we do all that with a big smile and lots of fun!
