Liga Solidária

The Liga Solidária is a civil organization of private law, of social aid and philanthropic purposes, recognized as Federal, State and Municipal Public Utility. Founded in 1923, it develops social-educative programs, serving directly 3.400 (three thousand and four hundred) people per month, among children, youths, families and elders in a situation of social exclusion, and serves indirectly around 13 thousand people. The social service is performed at 8 Center of Child Education (CEI’s), 5 Shelters and 8 Social-educative Programs. Form this whole service, 92% is developed at the Complexo Educacional Educandário Dom Duarte (EDD), located at Jardim Educandário, which is one of the neighborhoods of the District of Raposo de Tavares, located at the suburbs of the west zone of the municipality of São Paulo.
