KIDS is the charity working with disabled children, young people and their families. In its 47 years, it has pioneered a number of approaches and programmes including keyworking, home learning (Portage), Parent Partnerships Services, inclusive adventure playgrounds, transitions services and training on including disabled children in mainstream settings.The KIDS ethos is to work in partnership with parents and carers to enable disabled children and young people to develop their skills and abilities and to fulfil their potential, irrespective of their particular impairment or condition.
