Jewish Community Services

Jewish Community Services is a comprehensive non-profit human services agency of The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore providing a broad range of services to meet the needs of individuals and families in Central Maryland. JCS was created in 2008 through the consolidation of four existing social service agencies – Jewish Family Services, Jewish Vocational Service, Jewish Addiction Services, and Jewish Big Brother/Big Sister League – each with rich histories, the oldest of which dated back to 1856. Jewish Community Services offers: • Short term consultation services that help people address life’s challenges • Career services to find a job, enhance career skills or start a business • Mental health services including psychotherapy, psychiatric services and addiction treatment • Resources for older adults and caregivers, including ElderCare Management • Services for children and adolescents including counseling and Jewish Big Brother Big Sister • Resources for parents • Teen outreach programs and services • Prevention education programs related to addictions, HIV/AIDS, bullying, body image and other issues placing young people at risk • Community-based, residential and vocational services for people with disabilities • Service coordination to help families, seniors and new Americans access resources and assistance • Safety net services such as financial assistance and the Jewish Community Food Fund
