Israeli E-Government - Gov.il (former Known As Tehila)

The Israeli E-Government Project, called "Tehila" is a unit which belongs to the Ministry of Finance. Tehila's aim is to improve the online interaction between the government and the citizens. Tehila is known to have decreased bureaucratic difficulties. The two main roles of Tehila are as following: 1. Being the Internet Service Provider for the government's different ministries. 2. Hosting the government's ministries websites and services. In addition to these main roles, Tehila is a key participant in every IT project that involves communication between the government and the citizens (i.e. PKI Infrastructure for citizens and the computerized Elections project).
