HLS Linen Services is proud of its history of providing linen and laundry service to many regions of Ontario and into Western Quebec. HLS was established in 1974 and will celebrate its 40th year of operations in 2014. HLS has continually provided a centralized, cost effective linen service for its many customers savings its many customers tens of millions of dollars throughout its history. HLS moved into a new 185,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility a few years ago and provides services to acute care hospitals, long term care, hotels, hospitality industry, rehabilitation centers and mental health facilities, processing over 50 million pounds of clean linen a year. The trained management and staff are internationally recognized as leaders in North America for quality linen finishing and cost effective processing. HLS recently opened a distribution depot in Woodbridge, Ontario in January 2013 to service the Greater Toronto Area and Southern Ontario. HLS has been benchmarked as one of the top two most efficient laundries globally by Ole Carlsen, an international benchmarking consultant, based on visits to 700+ laundries throughout the world. Mr. Carlsen has referred to HLS as "the best laundry in North America and one of the best in the world". HLS is also ISO9001 certified and ISO14001 certified and is the only laundry in Ontario and only one of two in Canada accredited under the Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council (HLAC).
