The GBA is preparing to launch the GBA-Africa Blockchain Economic Development Framework. This is an initiative that is part of the GBA Economic Development Program with the program goals of implementing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The framework has three horizontal layers. They are :-Connect-Work with GBA member companies with expertise in the Telcom, Internet & -Communications industry to connect local communities to affordable internet services.-Communicate & CollaborateThe purpose of each of the horizontal layers is to help the region mature by building the infrastructure, community, capability and sustainability of local populations. Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) are formed bringing together social impact investors, private industry, local, national governments along with NGOs to help developing communities address the challenges aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Good Health and Well-Being for People, Quality Education, Work with GBA Training Organizations to provide local communities with the basic literacy and technology skills along advance professional skills to increase the overall capability of local populations to increase productivity and decrease dependency on Gender Equality, Clean Water and Sanitation, Affordable and Clean Energy, Decent Work and Economic Growth Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, Reducing Inequalities, Sustainable Cities and Communities, Responsible Consumption and Production, Climate Action, Life Below Water, Life on Land, Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, Partnerships for the Goals
