In 2019 a record 14.2 million visitors contributed $5.9 billion to the Gold Coast economy. The Gold Coast's tourism sector is in the top 10 destinations in Australia for holiday visitors. Destination Gold Coast (DGC) - also known as Gold Coast Tourism Corporation - is a not-for-profit, destination marketing organisation that promotes the Gold Coast as a premier leisure, business and events destination on behalf of more than 700 members and 26,000 commercial businesses which contribute to the Gold Coast tourism levy.
