Goizueta Investment Management Group (GIMG)

The Goizueta Investment Management Group (GIMG) is a student-managed investment fund at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. We are a group of undergraduates that manage a portion of Emory’s endowment in a long-only, U.S. equity portfolio. In addition to our investment activities, we are extremely passionate about using our resources to help teach financial literacy to underserved youth in the Atlanta area. Our group was founded in 2011, as the result of an effort by Corey Moore (BBA ’12) and Shawn Shivalkar (BBA ’11) who teamed up with administration to launch GIMG. The vision for the group started a few years before with a generous donation from one of our most notable alumni. In just two years since our founding, GIMG has become one of the most premier student organizations at the business school. Since our founding, GIMG has also been committed to engaging in the Atlanta community by using our experience and resources to help bring greater financial literacy to underserved youth. Most recently, we have partnered with schools and youth organizations including Maynard Jackson High School, the Economic Empowerment Initiative, and Emory’s own Graduation Generation. We continue to look for new opportunities to expand our impact throughout the community. At GIMG, our success hinges on our team. We have been able to attract top talent by building an organization that provides an unparalleled learning experience and prepares our members for successful futures in finance and beyond.
