The Integrated Security Unit (ISU) is mandated to secure both the G8 and G20 Summits in June 2010. As lead agency, the RCMP will work alongside the OPP, Canadian Forces, Toronto Police Service and Peel Regional Police to ensure safe and secure summits for participants, visitors and the community. Many important issues including anticipated restrictions, designated speech zones and the impact on stakeholders are under consideration as the ISU prepares for these major world events.
