FNB Moçambique SA is a subsidiary of the "FirstRand Group". FirstRand is listed on the JSE and is the holding company of the FirstRand Group of companies. These companies are involved in financial services activities including retail, corporate, investment and merchant banking,short-term insurance,life insurance,employee benefits, health insurance and asset management. Our principal brands include, First National Bank; Rand Merchant Bank; WesBank;Ashburton; RMB Private Bank; e-Bucks; Momentum; Outsurance and FirstLink Insurance Brokers. The FirstRand Group is mainly South African based with a primary interest in growing the Southern Africa region that includes the identification of several business opportunities in different market segments. FNB is a significant brand of the group and has established a physical presence in Mozambique with the acquisition of a 90% stake and subsequent name change,of Banco de Desenvolvimento e Comércio (BDC) on the 24th July 2007, to FNB Moçambique. As a main retail brand within the Group,FNB caters for all market segments being mainstream/mass, personal, private,commercial, corporate and the goverment sector. Mozambique is no exception in this regard,and FNB Moçambique S A intends to service all of these segments. FNB Moçambique S A falls under the Africa Division of FNB. FNB's representation in Africa, outside of South Africa, includes Namibia, Botswana, Swaziland, Lesotho,Mozambique and Zambia and there are ongoing plans for expansion into other parts of Africa.
