Desert AIDS Project (DAP) is a Federally Qualified Health Center in Palm Springs, CA that is rated a “Top 20 HIV Charity” by About.com, remarking “Desert AIDS Project continues to impress as one of the most driven and effective HIV charities in the U.S. Able to spur high-profile support and deliver top-quality, integrated care, the DAP hits all the right marks in our books.” Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent charity evaluator, has consistently awarded Desert AIDS Project “four-star status.” DAP offers primary care, HIV and hepatitis specialty care, dentistry, and behavioral health all-under-one-roof. On World AIDS Day 2015, The White House recognized the success of DAP’s Get Tested Coachella Valley campaign, as the nation’s first region-wide HIV testing and access to care initiative, to help bring about an AIDS-free future. Until there’s a cure, the vision of Desert AIDS Project is of healthy individuals, families, and communities despite the existence of HIV. To bring this vision to life, the mission of Desert AIDS Project/D.A.P is to enhance and promote the health and well-being of our community.
