In 1949, Dade Legal Aid began providing a safety net of legal services to qualifying low-income residents of Miami-Dade County. Today, 19 staff attorneys specialize in the areas of Family Law, Domestic Violence, Guardianship, Child & Foster Youth Advocacy, Housing and Bankruptcy and Venture Law. Priority goes to protecting children, families, the disabled, victims of domestic violence and fraud and other vulnerable persons. Dade Legal Aid utilizes sophisticated monitoring techniques to fine tune our result-oriented services. Through Dade Legal Aid, just last year over 6,000 families and lawyers were matched up to provide invaluable help in civil legal matters giving funders the biggest bang for the buck anywhere!
