CWEA (California Water Environment Association)

CWEA works to enhance the effectiveness of water environment professionals and to benefit society by protecting and enhancing our water environment. Founded in 1927, we are a not-for-profit association of 9,500 professionals in the wastewater industry. We are committed to keeping California's water clean. We educate and certify wastewater professionals, disseminate technical information, and promote sound policies to benefit society through protection and enhancement of our water environment. We offer services at the state level as well as locally, through our 17 geographical Local Sections. CWEA is a proud state member association of the Water Environment Federation, which provides technical education and training for thousands of water quality professionals who clean water and return it safely to the environment. CWEA hosts our Annual Conference each year in April. It is one of the largest water technology conferences and is also one of the largest water education events in California.
