The Cure Parkinson’s Trust (CPT) was set up in 2005 by four people living with the condition. It has one bold aim – to cure Parkinson’s. The Cure Parkinson's Trust funds innovative projects and inspirational scientists that are moving us closer to a cure. The Cure Parkinson’s Trust Research programme The Cure Parkinson’s Trust is dedicated to beating Parkinson’s through research, specifically driving towards treatments that can slow, stop or reverse Parkinson’s. The charity manages a series of integrated programmes, a treatment development programme (Linked Clinical Trials) that aims to fast-track treatments to slow, stop or reverse Parkinson’s into trial, and into clinic, a grant award scheme to identify and fund science excellence, and a measurement and assessment programme to test and investigate wearable devices to track symptoms that are relevant to people living with Parkinson’s. The Cure Parkinson’s Trust has a clearly defined research strategy and a robust process for grant awards. The charity is also an active member of the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC).
