Cox Petroleum Transport is a third-party logistics carrier headquartered in Bakersfield, California specializing in petroleum product transportation. We service the western United States, hauling gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, lube oils, crude oil and fuel oils. Our company was founded by Hiram and Mary Cox in the 1960's and incorporated in 1971. The company is locally owned with a fleet of over 100 tanker trucks and trailers consisting mostly of 2010 or newer Peterbilt models 386 and 384 pulling a variety of tanks and trailers such as, Beall, Heil, and Polar. The power plants consist of mainly Cummins ISX and Paccar MX motors and are maintained on a very strict in-house maintenance program. All our tanks and trailers are equipped with the Civacon overfill and retain system. Also, all our units are equipped with the People Net messaging and tracking device to allow for accuracy and proper reporting from the driver to dispatch in order to meet our customers’ expectations. Here at Cox, we firmly believe in taking advantage of technology. We offer EDI billing and EFT payments to better serve our customers and vendors. Our connection to the World Wide Web is another way to provide direct access service for our customers, suppliers, and employees.
