Computational Engineering International (CEI) develops software for engineers, scientists, and medical researchers. CEI was acquired by ANSYS in July 2017. http://www.ansys.com/fr-FR/About-ANSYS/news-center/07-11-17-ansys-acquires-computational-engineering-internationalCEI's flagship product is EnSight, which takes data from computer simulations or advanced MRIs or fluid flow experimental sources like PIV, and helps post-process and visualize that data. Converting raw data into images, movies, and 3D scenes which can be easily shared and presented is EnSight's key function. "EnSight offers unique rendering capabilities and can handle very large models, that's why we are using it here in the lab," Brent Craven, a researcher with the Gas Dynamics Lab and the Applied Research Lab at Penn State University says. "Furthermore, the capability to fully automate data analysis and visualization in EnSight by writing script programs in Python is very powerful."
