Turkey’s leading building material manufacturer Çimsa, was established in 1972. Currently Çimsa carries out its operations with its 5 integrated plants in Mersin, Eskişehir, Kayseri, Niğde, and Afyonkarahisar, a grinding facility in Ankara. As one of the first two brands in the world in white cement, Çimsa is an international cement manufacturer with its terminals in Houston (USA), Hamburg (Germany), Trieste (Italy), Sevilla and Alicante (Spain), Famagusta (T.R.N.C.), Constanza (Romania) and Novorossiysk (Russia). In the second quarter of 2019, Çimsa signed the agreement for the acquisition of Buñol, the white cement plant with Europe's most advanced production technology. Çimsa's R&D Center "Formula Center", which was established in 2001, continues its activities as a global solution center in Mersin Plant for the needs of cement users. Formula Center is officially registered by the T.R. Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology in March 2017. Formula Center is distinguished as the first ministry approved R&D Center in the cement sector in Turkey. Çimsa pioneers the building materials sector in Turkey as regards innovation thanks to its special products of white cement and calcium aluminate cement in addition to grey cement and ready-mixed concrete.
