Welcome to a new media experience starring … you. For the past 100 years, major media has been dominated by huge national corporations who have shown little attention to their local markets. They have offered us a top down, one-way media experience with minimal consumer input. It was media their way, and we had no choice but to take it. Our mission is to change that, starting here. What began as BMP Radio, a very traditional broadcasting company, is now Border Media, a totally two-way media enterprise. Through a host of new media formats such as online, video, streaming, and texting, we ask our listeners, users, and clients to join our team of award-winning journalists in covering the people, issues, and events that make our markets some of the greatest cities in America. Through our properties you can interact with our on-air radio personalities; debate the latest City Council moves; review a great new restaurant; or even create your own community of pet lovers, car enthusiasts, sports maniacs, or music fans. Unlike other market-oriented media companies that offer mostly generic, syndicated content (can you say “out of touch?”), Border Media’s 29 radio stations and online properties are relentlessly local and original, and what syndicated shows we do carry are great programming our listeners have requested. Each day we try to bring the culture and diversity of our markets to our listeners and to the world. We’ve spent the last year developing a company that is both useful and user-friendly in every way. Our goal is to be a public servant to our markets, our audience, our advertising partners, and our amazing staff. We hope you like what you find at Border Media, but if you don’t like something, then by all means sound off about that, too! We are always standing by at [email protected]. Together we can build a better community, so let us hear from you.
