As the London-headquartered international operations of a NYSE-listed insurance broker and risk management services firm, Arthur J. Gallagher is the brand name for Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. outside of the United States. The international division currently employs approx 6850 staff across the UK, Australia, Canada, Caribbean, Chile, Colombia, Peru, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore and Sweden with additional strategic partnerships in Mexico and China. The UK alone currently employs in excess of 4000 employees, with operations split into three core divisions: UK Retail, Specialty and Underwriting. With more than 50 regional branches spread right across the UK, employing in excess of 2500 people, we are a top five UK broker. We are also one of the biggest MGA operations in the UK and Australia and have a fast-growing private clients, scheme & affinity division that puts us in the top 10 UK personal lines brokers. A fourth, international division, is responsible for driving and delivering growth around the globe by identifying and developing acquisition opportunities as well as organic growth potential in partnership with our network of independent local producers within the Gallagher Global Alliance.
