History of ASA The ASA was founded in 2001, in conjunction with the Department of Accounting and Business Information Systems at The University of Melbourne. Values & Objectives Network – ASA exists to provide a networking platform between members, their peers and industry leaders. Opportunities – ASA fosters stronger links between students and an accounting-related pathway, whether as a career or with further studies.
