Academic Analytics partners with research institutions to provide data that offer comprehensive information on faculty research activity as well as strategic solutions drawn from analyses of national disciplines and custom comparisons at the institutional, department, program, and individual faculty levels. The data have tremendous potential, supporting strategic investment decisions, benchmarking research activity, reviewing academic units, and developing the university research enterprise. The data set grows in utility and application as we pose different questions from different perspectives. Guided by client feedback and a board of academic advisors who have held senior administrative roles at a variety of research universities, Academic Analytics provides clients with a customizable search platform enabling university leaders and faculty to identify subject experts, create multi-disciplinary research projects, locate federal or private funding, showcase university research to an external audience, and identify qualified faculty nominees for national scholarly awards. In addition, Academic Analytics has recently developed an analytics on-demand platform that provides clients with custom analyses of topics such as faculty movement, national honorific awards, graduate academic outcomes, faculty collaborations, and peer comparisons which will prove useful to faculty, researchers, and all levels of university administration from department chairs to university presidents.
