- 1 in 3 women experience violence, with domestic violence the most common - Globally, women make up just 22% of parliamentarians - Women spend at least twice as much time as men on domestic work, and when all work - paid and unpaid - is considered, women work longer hours than men We are working to change this. Womankind Worldwide is an international women’s rights charity working to help women transform their lives and their communities in Africa, Asia and Latin America. We partner with women’s rights organisations which are challenging discrimination and violence. We work collectively to influence the policies and practices of government and non-governmental organisations by sharing our knowledge and experience. Womankind delivers the essential support – funding, contacts and tools – these women’s rights organisations need to amplify their voice, increase their impact and influence, and bring about greater change. As a result, momentum grows and more women learn about and access their rights - creating change within communities and across wider society. Our vision is a fair world where being a woman does not limit choices, opportunities or rights. Since 1989 Womankind has reached over 18 million women and their families. We aim to: 1. End violence against women and girls 2. Ensure women have a say in the decisions that affect them 3. Enable women to take control of their own livelihoods
