The Wayne County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) primary goal is to attract, retain and assist the growth/expansion of base business within Wayne County. . Strategically located in New York's Finger Lakes Region, halfway between Rochester and Syracuse, Wayne County is home to nearly 50,000 workers in key industries including photonics and optics, agriculture, and advanced manufacturing. Known for it's rural charm, vast apple orchards, numerous wineries and cideries and over 35 miles of Lake Ontario shoreline, The County is still only a 30 minute drive in either direction, east or wast, to two major metro areas.
