Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) Clinic is a primary care medical facility serving the working uninsured and indigent in Martin County, Florida. It provides quality medical care at no charge to the to legal adult residents of Martin County below 200% of the federal poverty level which is $23,600 for one person and $48,600 for a family of four. Its patients do not qualify for Medicare or Medicaid or Veteran's Benefits. Its community partners include medical specialists, Martin Health System, Diagnostic Imaging Services and many more. Its staff consists of over 100 volunteers and 14 paid personnel. Major fundraising events include a black tie optional dinner dance and a golf tournament sponsored by the Robert F Novins Memorial Golf Tournament. Other funding comes from grants and local community support. In 2017, over 11,000 patient visits were provided and $3M worth of medications at no charge to the patients.
