Vodafone Automotive is the new name for Cobra following Vodafone’s acquisition of the Cobra Group in August 2014. It combines Cobra’s 40 year heritage in vehicle security and telematics, with Vodafone’s reputation as a world leading telecoms brand & Internet of Things (IoT) services provider. Vodafone Automotive is a leading provider of automotive products and services, including Telematics, Stolen Vehicle Tracking and Usage Based Insurance solutions, for vehicle manufacturers, insurance companies and fleets. Our pan-European OEM customers for stolen vehicle tracking and location based services include Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, Ducati, Ferrari, Gruppo Piaggio, Infiniti, Lamborghini, Maserati, McLaren, Mercedes Benz Trucks, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Porsche, Renault, Rolls-Royce, Tesla, Volkswagen. In Europe, Service Operating Centres assist customers in 44 countries. Vodafone Automotive is a Tier One partner to main European and Asian car, truck and motorcycle manufacturers, including Volkswagen Group for which it develops bespoke solutions. Vodafone Automotive’s design and development activities are managed by a multisite engineering team based in Italy, Japan and South Korea, whilst assembly and manufacturing facilities are located in Italy and China. Vodafone Automotive also offers a range of products including parking sensors, alarms and immobilisers, bluetooth hands free solutions, rear view reversing cameras and monitors, cruise control and speed limiters. Vodafone Automotive has approximately 880 employees in the UK, Italy, Germany, Brazil, China, France, Japan, South Korea, Spain and Switzerland. Vodafone Automotive is part of Vodafone’s Internet of Things (IoT) business unit which connects devices such as cars to the internet.
