VinaCapital Foundation

The mission of the VinaCapital Foundation (VCF) is to empower the children and youth of Vietnam by providing opportunities for growth through health and education projects. Programs include: • Heartbeat Vietnam, the fund for lifesaving heart surgery, post-op care, and education for poor Vietnamese children suffering from congenital heart defects. • Critical Response, which trains Vietnamese health care professionals in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and donates crash carts to ERs and ICUs across the country. • Medical Equipment Donation Program, which provides equipment donations to existing medical programs in the fields of pediatric and cardiac care. • Onsite and Offsite Training Program, which brings foreign and local medical professionals together for trainings on topics such as diagnosis, crisis intervention and post-op intensive cardiac care, international medical standards, and treatment protocols. • The International Symposium for Cardiac Care, which brings together doctors in developing countries with leaders in the field of cardiac care via online or teleconferenced regional training lectures, webcasts, and dissemination of training videos. • A Brighter Path: Scholarships for Ethnic Minority Girls All donations to Heartbeat Vietnam and A Brighter Path programs are matched 100% by the VinaCapital Group (VCG). In addition, VCG covers all of the foundation’s overhead expenses, so 100% of donations go directly to program work.
