Tradition - the starting point into a secure future Kurt van Hees saw the benefits of food phosphate additives in food production in the 1940´s. A pioneer in the field, he went on to develop a number of well-known additives that he patented Kurt van Hees founded VAN HEES GmbH in 1947. The company developed contacts to the butchers' and meat-processing industry and had its own technological sales consultants. The major manufacturing facility in the Walluf, Rheingau region, was built in the 1960´s. Subsidiaries were founded in France, Belgium and the Netherlands after the founder's son, Hendrik van Hees, took the reins. After his untimely death, Brigitte and Ilonka van Hees, took the helm as owner-directors of the company, which has remained a family-owned business to this day. Ilonka van Hees' daughter Julia has been acting as owner-manager since 2008. Innovative products and new technologies have been the key towards increased demand in the German and international market. VAN HEES is represented worldwide. Currently, we deliver our products to more than eighty countries. across the globe, sharing our know-how in advanced meat processing to our international customers with training programs and seminars.
