The Victoria Foundation

For over 80 years, the Victoria Foundation has focused on improving our shared quality of life - now and for the long term - by bringing people together, getting involved in community issues and providing philanthropic support for causes and organizations. As the second oldest community foundation in Canada, we manage charitable gifts from donors whose generosity allows us to create permanent, income-earning funds. The proceeds from these funds are then distributed as grants to charitable organizations on southern Vancouver Island, and increasingly, throughout British Columbia and Canada. Now the sixth largest of nearly 200 nation-wide community foundations, the Victoria Foundation has over $316 million in total assets under administration and has invested more than $176 million in people, projects and nonprofit organizations.
