The Mendel Center at Lake Michigan College includes three venues under one roof: GRAND UPTON HALL is one of the most flexible and convenient event venues in southwestern Michigan for: • Conferences & meetings • Weddings receptions • Fundraising auctions and dinners • Trade shows • Private parties When opened to its fullest, the 14,400-square-foot space accommodates up to 1,600 guests with theatre seating, 900 guests with banquet seating, or 98, 8’ x 10’ trade show booths. It is recognized for outstanding acoustic quality, professional-level artist accommodations, and technical specifications able to handle the largest of productions. The 1,559-seat Mainstage theatre is supported by an expert technical team. Professional backstage areas include dressing rooms, green room, and laundry facilities. It is surrounded by three spacious lobbies. The front lobby houses The Mendel Center box office with space for merchandise sales, meet and greet events, and concession services. The North and South Lower Lobbies can be used for pre- or post-show gatherings and other stand-alone events.
