The Grounds

Located in a former industrial precinct from the 1920s, The Grounds of Alexandria is a landmark coffee roastery, café, kitchen and garden known for its abundance of fresh produce and experiences. Opened in April 2012 the site hosts a coffee research and testing facility, artisan bakery and luscious open garden of heirloom vegetables, fragrant herbs, fresh fruit and flowers. With a nod to the sites heritage, which originally included a mix light industry such as tanneries, wool washing and market gardens, The Grounds provides a wholesome and produce-driven dining experience complemented by a range of hand-made organic breads, jams and pastries. Menus at The Grounds are inspired by a holistic seed-to-plate philosophy, which includes the freshest seasonal produce and the very best locally sourced ingredients.
