GrowthSpree is an initiative by two young individuals who want to bring about a change in the way our students prepare for the world ahead. India is at a situation where 30% of the population is younger than 22 years old. That should be a big advantage right? Apparently, Its become one of the biggest problem. Our young population is finding it hard to find good relevant jobs. So are there less jobs available today? No. The problem is not about the availability of jobs, Its about having the required skills the businesses require in this ever evolving world. That's where our youth lacks. Have you ever wondered why we haven't produced any Mark Zuckerbergs or Elons Musks in India? Hardly a few startups and entrepreneurs have come up with something unique in the entire world. We have Ola for Uber, Flipkart for Amazon, Oyo for Airbnb and the list goes on. The Problem? There are many constraints with our education system. In school we are made to focus on textbook knowledge with competitive exams in mind. In college we are still studying the old syllabus as per the industrial revolution. There is no focus on being agile, innovation and entrepreneurship, execution, and focus on knowledge and skills. So the youth is not finding jobs, nor is coming up with business ideas that could solve a problem and be profitable. The world is evolving at a rapid pace, and only those who will ride the wave, be agile and focus on innovation shall succeed. So this is where we at GrowthSpree want to step in. GrowthSpree is currently focusing on training the students and working professionals for skills that are in demand and needed by recruiters in the various industries. We have begun with Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Blockchain, and Cybersecurity course in Ahmedabad as offline classroom training programs as well as online. We wish to keep on adding courses like Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning, Blockchain and Digital and many more as per the future prospects and requirements by the businesses. But that's just the beginning. To be able to tackle and eradicate this problem, we need to start building the minds of the school students. It is required to provide the school students exposure towards innovation, to help them build a certain level of thinking and capability to be able to do well in life even if one doesn't crack the IIT. These school kids might easily be able to Google the answer to any question, but are they capable enough to find the logic of that answer using the same Google? They are exposed to digital and internet which is no doubt the future, all they need is the right direction to leverage this knowledge and skills. The value of Degrees is decreasing everyday, what's important is what you know and are capable of. Nobody is born with all the skills and knowledge. To be successful one has to work hard but more importantly one has to be aware of the trends and smart enough to act according to the need.
