Recognising that standard hotel rooms did not meet the needs of growing numbers of business and leisure travellers, Irish owned Staycity Aparthotels was founded in Dublin by CEO Tom Walsh and his brother Ger Walsh in 2004 to provide the travelling public with a mid-market, cost-effective and user-friendly alternative to hotel accommodation. Today Staycity currently operates in excess of 3,000 apartments across several major European cities including Birmingham, Dublin, Edinburgh, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Paris and York. Our company is on target to expand to 15,000 apartments by 2022 with further openings during 2017 in Marseille, Lyon, Manchester and The Strand in London which will see the launch of our new premium brand. We provide the perfect home away from home experience for both business and leisure travellers and are ideal for both short and long term use. All properties feature hotel-standard 24 hour reception with most locations also offering private car parking facilities on site. All apartments come with fully equipped kitchens, dining room and lounge areas while all studio units come with fully equipped kitchenettes. Additional features include complimentary Wi-Fi and flat screen TV while weekly housekeeping is also included. Our main aim is to further professionalise the aparthotel space by committing to continuous staff development in the area of customer service while building on our reputation as a brand that our customers can trust. In 2015 Staycity was inducted into the TripAdvisor Hall of Fame, having won a Certificate of Excellence award for our Dublin (Saint Augustine Street) and Birmingham (Arcadian Centre) locations for five consecutive years.
