An electrical conductivity measurement sensor, located at the tip of the drilling instruments, alerts the surgeon in real time and without using X-Ray imaging, about changes in conductivity that occur at the transition between cancellous bone, cortical bone and soft tissues/ blood. These devices are used in surgeries for all kind of patients, from pediatric in deformity corrections to adult in degenerative diseases requiring internal fixation.
