Sahaj e-Village Ltd. (an ISO 27001:2013 Certified Company) is a venture initiative of SREI Infrastructure Finance Limited (SIFL). Sahaj was started to bridge the digital divide between Urban and Rural India under the flagship of the National e-Governance Plan under Government of India. Sahaj operates through two business verticals - Sahaj Retail Limited and Rural Innovation Lab Pvt. Ltd. Both the businesses are closely bounded and run through a holistic Social Inclusion model. The company aims to achieve Economic Empowerment and Enhancement, Life Quality Enhancement and Livelihood Enhancement. Additionally, the focus is towards ensuring Human, Digital and Physical network driving efficient access to Rural India through its various services. The business of Sahaj is now led by digital and financial inclusion and the company’s current portfolio of offerings range from Banking (Business Correspondents), Aadhaar enabled Payment System (AePS), Insurance (Life & Non-Life), Utility Payment Services, e-Learning, e-commerce (itigershop.com) and Government to Consumer (G2C) Services like Pan Card, FASTag, e-District services, Online Direct Benefit Transfer etc. Sahaj is presently operational in 21 States / Union Territories of India. The company provides its services to rural Indians through their ICT enabled Sahaj Kendras, run by Sahaj Mitrs, who are also called Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs).
