Rugid Computer has developed and manufactured a complete line of remote telemetry, data acquisition and control RTUs for over 30 years. Rugid products range from low-power to highly expandable RTUs and are designed for extreme field applications. With power draw as little as 2 milliamps, the RUG3 RTU is ideal for remote applications where energy harvesting is a must. RUG3s come standard with 2KB of battery-backed RAM, 60KB of program flash, 2MB of data-logging memory and realtime clock/calendar. Standard I/O includes 4 digital outputs, 8 digital inputs, 6 analog inputs, 24V loop supply; optional add-ons include LCD/keypad, modem, 2 analog outputs, RS485. To monitor and control remote sensors, Rugid is proud to offer its new wireless sensor interface. WiSITM is an all-in-one radio, data acquisition and control, self-powered device; enclosed in an IP-67 rated outdoor/weather-proof package. WiSI’s feature model has an integrated solar panel, 10-year maintenance-free energy storage and can communicate up to a week without sunlight. With a 2.4GHz radio, data is securely passed up to 2 miles per hop with 128-bit AES encryption. WiSI’s provide the ability to self-configure into a robust wireless network. Standard I/O includes 4 each analog inputs, digital inputs, digital outputs; and 5V and 18V DC instrument supplies.
