The Royal Australian Air Force is a world-class military force operating some of the most advanced aircraft and defence technology in use anywhere today. The Air Force’s core purpose is the defence of Australia but the service is also called upon to fulfil many other important roles both here and overseas. Depending on each role, Air Force personnel can be posted to any one of 15 operational air bases across Australia, to offices in Canberra and overseas, or to anywhere Air Force resources are needed.
