Reliable owns & operates one of the largest snow removal fleets in North America. Our arsenal of equipment will keep your facility safe during the toughest winters. Reliable Snow Plowing Specialists was established from Ultra Turf 1 Inc, a landscaping and snowplowing business which started in 1986. After serving Northeastern Ohio in these capacities for several years, reevaluation in late 1991 led to the development of a strategic plan that would change the face of the company. In 1992, the decision was made and implemented to limit the service of the company solely to snow and ice management. Reliable Snow Plowing was adopted in 1993 as a trade name. The company is currently known as Ultra Turf 1 Inc OBA Reliable Snow Plowing Specialists. Substantial growth has followed. In 1996, we opened six satellite locations in the greater Northeast Ohio region. In 1998, the Reliable staff hit the milestone of 100-employee mark & we have grown to 500 in 2014. In 1999, a new state-of-the-art facility was built. Founder/CEO Norm Detrick established a master plan to ensure Reliable's continuing leadership role in the snow and ice management industry. In 2004, the number of satellite locations was increased to fourteen and the service region was expanded to include Northern Ohio, Akron and Canton now as of 2014 we currently have 33 locations and have expanded service to all of Northern Ohio. Our "Snowplow University" was also opened in 2004, and extensive training in snow and ice removal became an essential priority for all employees.
