At Pith & Stem, we noticed that the COVID-19 “forced trend” of working from home was proving massively beneficial for the environment; with transport related CO2 emissions reducing as much as 70%, but many people had come to hate it and wanted to return to the pre-pandemic normal. One of the main reasons that people hated working from home was that they couldn’t be effective. It was hard work! They didn’t have the right tools and spending 10 hours a day, every day, hunched over a laptop screen, in uncomfortable positions, does not compare with the ergonomic office setup they were used to. We looked at what the fundamental issues of the traditional desk are and designed products that would eliminate every single one of them.
