One Million Mentors

One Million Mentor’s mission is to transform the process of mentoring for all in the UK. Our ambition is to train, recruit and connect a million mentors to a million young people in order to increase youth employability, support social action and help break down social barriers. One Million Mentors is a project within Uprising, a UK-wide youth leadership development organisation. UpRising’s mission is to open pathways to power for talented young people from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds. Young people are then equipped with the knowledge, networks, skills, and confidence to fulfil their leadership potential, find new opportunities, and transform the world around them through social action. Become a mentor: We're looking for professionals or retired professionals to mentor a young person for one hour, once a month, for up to twelve months. Mentors are likely to have five years general working experience or two years post-graduate working experience. All mentoring sessions are currently online, so we're happy to welcome volunteer mentors from anywhere across the UK in support of young people primarily based in Cardiff, Greater Manchester, the West Midlands, and East London. ***Register now at: https://www.onemillionmentors.org.uk/ About our mentor training: Our platform enables mentors to access high quality online training, a free online Mentor Workshop, as well as access to resources and good practice in mentoring in the UK and internationally.
