Living Yoga

Living Yoga provides trauma-informed services and resiliency training in order to ensure all individuals have the tools to heal from the impacts of trauma, prevent re-traumatization, and realize their full potential. We do this by training volunteers to provide trauma-informed yoga classes in prisons and reentry, substance use disorder treatment and recovery, and community health programs; and by training community members and care providers to recognize and respond to symptoms of trauma. Living Yoga envisions an equitable and just world where individuals are empowered to use mind-body practices for self-care, collective care, resiliency, and recovery from trauma symptoms, while communities collectively work toward systemic liberation. We help create a world where everyone is authentically valued and supported in our ongoing learning, growth, and well-being.
