My reporting and writing on economics, personal finance, career strategies, parenting, families, books, feminism, and politics has been published in numerous print and on-line publications, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Salon.com, Slate's The Big Money, Conde Nast's Portfolio, AlterNet.org and The Los Angeles Times, where I wrote and edited the popular “Money Makeover” feature. My essays have been published in Modern Love: 50 True and Extraordinary Tales of Desire, Deceit and Devotion, The Maternal is Political: Women Writers at the Intersection of Social and Political Change as well as in an upcoming anthology on reality television being published by Harper's in 2010.
