The Slammers began their inaugural season on May 19, 2011. As Will County's only professional sports team, The Slammers are dedicated to providing family-friendly, affordable entertainment. The Joliet Slammers are members of the Frontier League of Professional Baseball. The Frontier League is the oldest continuously operating independent professional league, founded in 1993.
