Insomnia is Irelands leading independent coffee shop chain and the 15th largest in Europe. We have grown from a single location in a Galway bookstore 1997 to an estate of over 170 coffee shops across high street and through partnerships with Retailers such as SPAR EUROSPAR, Londis, Mace ,Primark, , Eason, Meadows & Byrne and Maxol. In addition the company has 550 self-service units in operation, in Ireland, UK and UAE. We have won a number of awards including Deloitte Best Managed Company 2020 & 2019, Retail Excellence Awards, Retail franchise of the year at the Irish Franchise awards. QSR Loyalty Programme of the year at the Irish Loyalty Awards. Top 30 & Top 100 Store at the Retail Excellence awards. Insomnia has been Fairtrade certified since 2006 and sells more than 40 million Fairtrade cups of coffee each year. The Insomnia Blend is a unique recipe, roasted weekly using specialty grade beans sourced from Colombia, Brazil, Vietnam and Sumatra. We are also delighted to introduce the 3rd edition of Insomnia Voyager. Every year we find a new exotic coffee to try, 100% arabica beans and roast it medium. This year with we went to the HOAC Co-operative in Papua New Guinea and the COCAFCAL Co-operative in Honduras. In 2021 we launched a Coffee at Home range, our range includes our Signature Blend, Roast & Ground & Whole Bean , Nespresso compatible capsules espresso and Lungo, Dolce Gusto compatible capsules Americano and Cappuccino. We also have our Voyager blend Roast & Ground and Whole bean . In 2020 we relaunched our award winning Treats Loyalty programme and it now includes a click & collect service.
