GM Korea Company

GM Korea Company is Korea's third-largest automotive company, and represents one of GM's largest manufacturing, design and technology hubs. With headquarters in Incheon, Korea, it manufactures a family of vehicles and powertrains for the Korean and global market. GM Korea employs about 17,000 people worldwide in its core automotive business. It operates five manufacturing facilities in Korea as well as an assembly facility in Vietnam. In 2010, GM Korea sold domestically and exported more than 2.05 million vehicles, including CKD products, primarily under the Chevrolet brand. GM Korea produces one out of every four Chevrolets sold worldwide. It provides market- and brand-specific vehicle kits for assembly at GM facilities in China, Uzbekistan, Mexico, India, Colombia, Russia and other countries. Vehicles and kits from GM Korea are offered in more than 150 markets on six continents. The GM Korea Design Center and GM Korea Technical Center in Bupyeong are developing the next generation of GM products. Manufacturing Engineering Center is overseeing research in production technology. GM Korea is the home of GM's global small and mini-car architectural development teams, which are developing the next generation of products for the GM Group. GM Korea's product lineup includes the Chevrolet Spark, Chevrolet Aveo, Chevrolet Cruze, Chevrolet Orlando, Alpheon(Buick LaCrosse), Camaro, Captiva SUV, Trax as well as mini-commercial vehicles such as the Damas and Labo.
