Freebird is an international charter airline established in June 2000 and started operations in 2001 with 3 medium range MD-83 aircrafts. Currently, operating in Europe and Middle East with the fleet of 6 Airbus A320s and 2 A321s, Freebird has managed to attract attention with the consistent developments among the Turkish private air forwarders. Besides, Freebird has three core activities: passenger/cargo transport, engineering & maintenance and flight crew training. These activities are carried out under the regulation of the Turkish Directorate General of Civil Aviation. Freebird is a company of Gözen Holding, supplying ground services to more than 85 companies in the field of representation, fuel, supervision, brokerage and security. Mekin GÖZEN and Mete BOZYİĞİT are the founders of Gözen Holding with a respected past of more than 30 years in the sector and Freebird continues its operations with its experienced team under the management of Selim TÜKENMEZ. By striving to attain excellence as an airline, Freebird Airlines intends to generate value for its customers, employees and shareholders. Thus we are the first airline company in Turkey that has been granted ISO 9001:2000 Certification by TUV Rheinland in 2002 and has been again the first charter airline that achieved IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) Registration granted by IATA (International Air Transport Association) in July 2006.
