Dream a Dream is a registered, charitable trust empowering children and young people from vulnerable backgrounds to overcome adversity and flourish in the 21st century using a creative life skills approach. The last 20 years Dream a Dream has been working towards building a world where all children can thrive Dream a Dream worked with 10,000 young people a year through two innovation labs – After School Life Skills Programme and Career Connect Programme; have trained over 5500 teachers/educators from 157 partners impacting over 137,500 children and young people and sensitize over 2500 volunteers through their unique Life Skills Development model We work on a strong collaborative approach with local charities, corporates, volunteers, governments, expert consultants and a host of national and international strategic partners. Over the years, Dream a Dream has received recognition for its innovative model and work. In 2020, Dream a Dream won the World Football Summit (WFS) Football for Good Award presented by Common Goal, because of its work with its After Schools Life Skills Programme that has been driving mind-set shifts through sports as a medium. Today, Dream a Dream is a certified Great Place To Work (2021-2022), GuideStar Platinum certified NGO, 3-time winner of the Outstanding Annual Report Award, 3-time regional finalist of the India NGO of the Year Award, Runner-up at the GDN Most Innovative Project Award and has been recognized by Lego Foundation and Ashoka as a Champion (out of 630 global organizations) in the space of Re-Imagining Learning in the world. The Life Skills Assessment Scale (LSAS) developed in-house is a first of its kind, published and standardized scale that is being used by NGOs/Schools to assess improvement in life skills
