Czechitas

Czechitas is non-profit organization, which is raising and empowering new talents for stronger diversity and competitiveness in tech. Since 2013 we are providing female tailored courses in different areas of IT such as programming, web development, graphic design, digital marketing and data analytics. In 2016 we organized 100 courses in the Czech Republic and Europe and influenced 4000 female graduates. We are creating life stories, influencing thousands of women to change or choose their career path to IT or use their new technical skills to boost their confidence. All of this was possible due to great effort and commitment of lecturers, volunteers, partners and believers in Czechitas community. Honors&Awards: - Social Impact Award 2015 - European Citizen Award 2016 - Young Transatlantic Leaders Innovation Programme 2016 - Aspen Young Leaders Programme 2016, 2017 - SXSW Community Servise Award 2017 Czechitas Projects: - One-day Workshops & Long-term Courses to empower ladies in IT with the main support of Konica Minolta Europe, Concur, Nestlé, Avast and AT&T - Czechitas Thesis Award for the best female bachelor thesis in IT field - Digital Academy, a three-month intensive re-qualification course and mentoring program for new female data analysts supported by Google.org and Keboola - IT Summer school for high-school girls to show them the opportunity to study a technical university - Academy of programming - project supported by Microsoft, is helping youth, especially girls, to become passionate contributors of technology and also it is focusing on education of teachers at elementary and high schools - Tailored workshop for specific field - Special workshops designed with professional lecturers and teachers, focusing on specific field, currently Excel and Graphic Design for HR - Talent Acquisition - career development and a unique platform that connects companies interested in gender diversity for their teams and searching for new talents
