Human potential, realised. Civic is a not-for-profit organisation that has provided services to people with intellectual disability and / or mental illness for more than 55 years. Founded in the 1950s by a group of parents caring for their children with disability in the Sutherland Shire, the organisation now provides services in many NSW locations, while remaining true to the concept that inspired its creation. We strive to create a society where all people are accepted, given opportunities to reach their potential, and able to participate as a valued member in their community. Today, more than 500 people in Sydney and regional areas receive vital services from Civic Disability Services. We practice Personal Centred Active Support (PCAS) in all we do.
