China Energy Fund Committee (CEFC) is a nonprofit, non-governmental think tank devoted to public diplomacy and researches on strategic issues with emphasis on energy and culture. Its headquarters is located in Hong Kong, with stations in Beijing and Shanghai. CEFC assembles the world’s best minds to work toward such goals and to conduct research in support of China’s three-pronged approach to energy development: the substitution of cleaner alternative energy for traditional energy, renewable energy for fossil fuels and plentiful energy sources for scarce ones.
